The Expression Support Module in the Geoportal

The Network Information Module is part of the MawisGeoportal application and is a specialized tool designed for technical infrastructure managers and municipalities to efficiently process requests for information regarding the existence of utility networks.

Purpose of the module

The module was created to streamline the process whereby technical infrastructure managers (owners of pipelines, cables, product pipelines, etc.) and municipalities must respond to requests from builders who, before obtaining a building permit, need to determine:

• The existence of technical infrastructure in the area of the proposed construction project
• Conditions for carrying out the construction project with regard to the existing infrastructure
• Methods for performing excavation work and other technical details

Functionality

The Expression Support module allows you to:

• View all requests received through the MawisUtility system
• Integration of requests received through alternative communication channels (email, mail)
• Clear management and organization of incoming requests based on their current status
• Efficient processing of statements regarding the existence of networks and their submission to the applicant, along with attachments

What does the Expression Support Module offer?

• A clear overview of all requests in a table
• Automatic import of requests from MawisUtility
• Location of the area of interest in the application on the map
• Option to add custom requests
• Record of the Status of Application Processing
• Viewing and downloading attachments
• Sending the response to the applicant

Availability and Access 

• The module is not included by default in all MawisGeoportal projects
• To implement the module, please contact a sales representative
• After installation, the module is available in the application's main toolbar under the document icon with a person figure labeled "Expression Support"

Integration with the MawisUtility system

MawisUtility is a complementary system that enables builders to:

• Define the area of the proposed construction project
• Automatically identify potential infrastructure managers in a given area
• Send a mass email to all relevant administrators requesting their comments

The Expression Support module in MawisGeoportal subsequently handles the receipt and processing of these requests on behalf of technical infrastructure administrators and municipalities.
