MAWIS: A Portal for Builders and Investors

Introducing our new visual identity.

Hrdlička has been developing the MAWIS portal since 2010. The first service—and the one most frequently used by customers—is MawisUtility (formerly UtilityReport), which helps builders submit bulk requests for statements regarding the existence of utility networks to all utility providers. Every builder needs a quick, clear, and accurate confirmation to obtain a building permit.

MAWIS has always aspired to be a hub for geoservices that utilize Earth surface data for construction, planning, implementation, and operations. The application can work with survey data, utility network data, technical maps, property records, and other maps for analytical purposes.

With this idea in mind, the Hrdličkas launched several services for both the Czech and international markets, which are used by network operators, builders, municipalities, and regional authorities, as well as the general public. In 2020, the MawisPhoto service was created, which helps quickly and accurately document construction sites in 3D using a mobile phone. It also serves as an administrative system for human resources management on construction sites.

The latest addition is a set of advanced analytical tools for working with geodata, consolidated into the MawisTools service. Their features will be particularly appreciated by surveyors, designers, and geoinformatics specialists. Searching for relevant parcels in the real estate cadastre or land blocks from the LPIS is now the main highlight of the overall package.

In order to expand the MAWIS portal with additional services in the future, we decided to overhaul the entire system. At the same time, we created a new visual identity and standardized the names of our services. We will continue to improve the user interface to ensure our customers’ satisfaction.
